Energy Efficient Building Planning and Integrated Building Science
For the development of energy efficient buildings, which also fulfill comfort demands and requirements, we use simulation-based planning tools. These enable us to develop structural and technical concepts, taking in consideration of the interdependencies of energetic, thermal, acoustical, and visual aspects in early phases of a project.
Next to construction and operation costs, employee costs are the major cost factor during the whole life cycle of commercial buildings. In this context, the specific comfort conditions at office and work spaces are of particular importance regarding efficiency and productivity of the employees. But also in residential buildings comfort aspects should not be neglected, since these buildings provide protection from the environment as well as privacy and recreation space for the inhabitants.
